La Capannina
It is a socio-medical residential structure for disabled persons with a high level of limitations in the performance of activities, who are partially or totally non-self-sufficient. The facility perfectly meets the needs for intensive care and management of people's daily life, their rehabilitation, education and safeguard.
The rooms are spacious and bright, creating a functional and welcoming living environment, as natural light is the cornerstone of the architecture of the building's original design, with extensive use of windows.
HOUSES FON.O.S
(Fondazione Orizzonti Sereni)
These are two houses that were built with the very onerous contribution of a number of families, to give their disabled children a permanent residence in the event of a total lack of parental care - 'goal: after us'. The buildings are located in Vicenza - locality Bertesina - and in the municipality of Bolzano Vicentino. The 'HOUSES FON.O.S.’ are currently available for the temporary accommodation of some guests, if necessary and if there is space available, but they remain permanent accommodation reserved exclusively for the children of those who have joined the project.
Theatre Company – AMICI DELLA FRAGLIA (Friends of Fraglia)
This Theatre Company is formed by volunteer actors. They carry out the activity of training and produce shows, involving the cooperative's guests and offering the opportunity to experience acting to all the people with disabilities living in the area. The theatrical experience has an important educational value because it encourages spontaneity and improvisation and creates an occasion for confrontation with others. It helps people with disabilities to access their inner selves, dispel fear of performing and being judged, showing themselves for who they are: there is room for everyone on stage and everyone is an actor!
