AND WE TEACH THEM TO LOOK FORWARD

AGAPE is a Social Cooperative which provides residential and semi-residential services, both with temporary private reception and in agreement with the local Health Autority - AULSS 8 BERICA, according to the Italian Health System.

Since 1991 we have welcomed people with ALL DEGREES of disabilities. We are organized and structured to give them support that is not limited to simple basic assistance but which helps them to bring out their individual potential, in order to express it in creativity and work.

Our association relies on the work of several volunteers who, in addition to assisting our operators in carrying out various activities, provide routine maintenance of the facilities and of the green areas, and are responsible for driving the transportation vehicles forthe transfer of guests.

What we do

Contract Work

The many years' activity of our operators, handling contract work, is crucial. They must accurately assess the type of product to be assembled according to the peculiarities of the people who will have to execute it.

Wonderland

Pieces of various fabrics, supplied by selected companies, are cut into patterns and filled with wadding, transforming themselves into: gnomes and elves, puppets and dolls, angels and marionettes.

Paper rebirth

From selected sources, waste paper sheets arrive at the workshop, which are then reduced to small pieces and macerated. To this mixture, fragments of 'egg cartons' are added, which act as a glue due to their high cellulose content.

Computing to create

Computers with facilitated keyboards, printers, tablets and other computer tools support visual sensory stimulation for the recognition and differentiation of colours and objects. Listening to sounds and music is aimed at auditory stimulation for therapeutic purposes of relaxation.

La Fraglia

A large tree-lined garden surrounds the facility, which is equipped with wide common areas with total absence of architectural barriers.

La Capannina

It is a socio-medical residential structure for disabled persons with a high level of limitations in the performance of activities, who are partially or totally non-self-sufficient.

Houses FON.O.S

These are two houses that were built with the very onerous contribution of a number of families, to give their disabled children a permanent residence in the event of a total lack of parental care - 'goal: after us'.

Sensory Room

The Sensory Room is a therapeutic space used specifically to promote self-organisation and positive change. The Agape project is
an environment designed to engage the senses.
